Purposefully Leading into the Future:
Development for the new “edge” for Leadership
As artificial intelligence and rapid technological advancements reshape the business landscape, leadership must evolve beyond the agile responses of the past. The ability to be thoughtfully ready, flexible and resilient, while critical, will not be enough to make a difference in the extraordinary context of the 21st century.
Purposefully leading into the future is the new “edge” for leadership. It is no longer about delivering the numbers, but about delivering results-beyond-results: followership, sustainability and crafting a productive intersection of human inventiveness and the efficiency of digital automation. We have seen, time and again, how this approach to development delivers meaningful and successful results in some of the today’s most successful organizations.
Without a doubt, we are facing a new paradigm for leadership and leadership development, which is both daunting and exciting. I am inspired by this challenge, and the opportunity to use my wisdom and experience to guide and support leaders in understanding how to dig deeper and build a highly personal yet practical translation of who they are, resulting in a sense of leadership agency.
